This cake was actually made awhile ago, but I didn't post it yet because it was for my SIL J and I didn't want to ruin the surprise. C and J have now had their baby. SIL S helped me pick out the items and my sister J "assisted" me with assembly (read: J made the bows!) It was probably the hardest one I have made simply because we used more colors than I normally do. I was originally going to only use red and blue but the only ribbon I could find with red and blue also had white and I was not going for a patriotic cake! So we went with bright primary colors. I was getting so frustrated because it just wasn't looking right and J suggested that we switch the yellow ribbon that we had tied around the middle for a red one and that made all the difference in the world. (See I let her help!) I am actually very pleased with it now. I think my favorite cake so far was my first, the pink and green one. Probably because I want a baby girl so much!
